Who we are

JacketShop (“we”, “us”) is the seller of record for this storefront in India and is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 for personal data we collect when you browse, create an account, or place an order (including cash-on-delivery). Our storefront is hosted by AiMonk (an unincorporated team based in Siliguri, West Bengal), which processes that data as our Data Processor except where Indian law requires the platform to act on its own (for example security logs).

What we collect and why

We collect identity and contact details (name, email, phone), shipping address, GST invoice fields where you provide them, order contents, payment status from Razorpay, Stripe, or cash-on-delivery (we do not store full card numbers), and technical logs (IP address, device/browser) needed to run checkout securely. We use this data to fulfil and ship orders, verify COD where enabled (including OTP), send transactional WhatsApp / SMS / email about your purchase, prevent fraud, and meet GST, tax, and record-keeping duties. We do not sell your personal data. Optional analytics cookies load only if you accept the banner.

Sharing, transfers, and retention

We share data with payment aggregators, shipping partners, and notification providers only to complete your order or as Indian law requires. Core hosting is intended to be in India; some processors may handle limited data abroad except to any country the Central Government restricts under the DPDP Act. We keep order and invoice data for the GST / tax statutory period (generally six years from the end of the relevant financial year) and other data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights and children

As a Data Principal you may request access, correction, or erasure of personal data, withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, and nominate another person to exercise rights if the DPDP Act so provides — subject to legal retention (for example invoices). This store is not directed at children (under 18). We do not knowingly track or target advertising at children. Contact us using the seller details below.
